I dread seeing some women. Especially the ones who know my past. They wait for any opportunity to throw shade or show me up. These women just like being mean. What is up with that? We serve a God who loves us. He shows mercy and grace. Black women should not be angry because we are blessed.
We are queens
Many black women attend church on Sunday, and the Holy Spirit leaves them on Monday. I understand why, but the rest of the world doesn’t. I see us as proud women who put God first. We do not take any bull, so do not think about trying us. Thanks to the black women before us. We are wired that way.
This has to change
But that doesn’t give us the right to speak to others negatively. Today, black women have more money, clout, and success than any of our ancestors. Yet, we still talk down to others. It is like we are crabs because we keep pulling others down. That is why they called us, “Angry Black Women.” But we can change that.
Practice saying positive affirmations
Let’s start being gentle with others. Don’t let anyone abuse you but find something positive to say and keep your personal opinions to yourself. 1 Peter 2:1 “So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.
Keep a Secret
Proverbs 11:13 “Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets, but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing covered.” It’s okay to keep something to yourself. If your heart feels heavy, pray. Journaling is another way to release negativity. Find a way to cope with your negative emotions.
We are better than that
We are so blessed. America is the richest country in the world. People in different countries are at war. Don’t let anger take away our joys. Let it go. “God is good. All the time”. He has delivered us through too many storms so don’t let one situation ruin your memories.
