Anxiety can show up in different ways. It can feel like fear, pressure, or doubt. This week, I found myself thinking about how people manage those feelings during difficult times. However, the Bible gives us concrete examples of how to navigate them.

✝️ David Faced Fear, But He Chose Faith

In the Bible, David stood before Goliath when others were afraid. Fear was present. However, David responded differently.

In 1 Samuel 17:45, David said:
“You come to me with sword and spear… but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts.”

Instead of focusing on the problem, David focused on God. Because of this, his courage grew.

🌿 Anxiety Does Not Mean You Are Weak

David also experienced anxious moments. However, he turned to God rather than remain in fear.

In Psalm 56:3, he says:
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

This shows that fear may come, but it does not have to stay. Therefore, anxiety is not the end of your story.

💡 3 Ways David Overcame Fear

1. He Remembered What God Had Done
In 1 Samuel 17:37, David recalled how God delivered him before.
Because of this, he believed God would do it again.

2. He Spoke with Faith
David did not speak fear. Instead, he declared the truth. As a result, his mindset stayed strong.

3. He Took Action
David still moved forward. Even with fear at present, he acted in faith.

🤝 Apply This to Your Life

You may not face a giant like David. However, anxiety can feel just as big. Therefore, take a moment to apply what he did.

  • Remember what God has already brought you through
  • Speak truth over your situation
  • Take one small step forward

Because of this, you begin to regain control of your thoughts.
