The Enduring Power of Faith in Black History

Faith in Daily Life

Faith did not just live in churches—it was woven into daily life. Morning prayers started each day with gratitude. Songs of praise echoed in kitchens and fields, reminding everyone of God’s presence. Because of this, hope blossomed even in the face of struggle. Families leaned on faith to guide their choices and actions. Whenever uncertainty loomed, trust in God brought comfort.
