Sundays are my reset day—a time to pour into my mind, body, and soul. With just three simple practices—herbal tea, journaling, and prayer—I prepare myself for the week ahead. Self-care doesn’t have to be complicated, but it does have to be intentional. Make sure you keep your ritual so you can be ready the week. Here’s my simple Sunday routine for nurturing the mind, body, and soul:
1. Herbs for the Body – Sip Calming Tea
I start with a warm cup of herbal tea—lavender, chamomile, or lemon balm.
These herbs are natural nerve tonics. They calm the nervous system, relax tense muscles, and bring a sense of peace after a busy week. The soothing aroma itself can reset your mood and ease stress. A simple cup of tea becomes an act of self-care that grounds you in the present moment.
2. Journaling for the Mind – Reflect and Set Intentions
Next, I open my journal and write down:
- One reflection from the past week.
- One intention for the week ahead.
Journaling is more than just writing—it’s a tool for clarity and creativity. It helps release anxiety, improves memory, and gives structure to scattered thoughts. Personally, I love using journaling as a “brain dump.” It helps me untangle my emotions, reflect on challenges, and plan strategies to move forward
3.Reflection for the Soul – Pray, Meditate, Affirm
Finally, I take time to recharge my soul.
Throughout the week, we pour so much of ourselves into work, family, and responsibilities. Sundays are my reminder to fill my own cup.
- Prayer connects me to God, who strengthens and guides me.
- Meditation on His Word brings confidence and peace.
- Affirmations encourage self-love, helping me release negativity and embrace positivity.
